Our First 2012 E-Exhibition Revealed

December 28, 2011

With all of the presents opened and the tasty cakes gone is there anything else to look forward to? One more celebration, when the midnight sky will be filled with colourful fireworks, and we’ll get to 2012…

I guess if we had a normal winter with lots of snow and thick ice on the lakes that would be a more natural start to the year – a cold January followed by the February blizzards and then March spring flowers trying to get through the frozen ground; yet now we seem to be stuck in the constant autumn/spring phase – warm temperatures, green grass and grey skies. Don’t get me wrong, I do believe that there’s no bad weather, but it would be so nice to have a proper white winter! There you go – there is something to look forward to – SNOW.

If you share my childish dreams to one day wake up in a winter wonderland, please come and visit our first 2012 E-Exhibition that will start on the 1st of January. “As Close As We Have Got To” will show a set of photographs taken during just two December days, when Jack Frost turned everything white.

You will be impressed with the magical transformation, when plants sustain their colours under a layer of white crystals, as if our mother Nature has generously sprinkled icing sugar. This, of course, creates a certain mood, a feeling that you’ve unexpectedly been dropped into a tale or have just walked through an old wardrobe right into C.S. Lewis’s Narnia.

Anyway, we’ll see you there on the 1st of January!

I quite like snow as long as I don’t have to drive in it, looking forward to the exhibition.
