Getting Into Gear + 2 February Images

February 1, 2012

One month down, eleven more to go…

Do you still remember your New Year’s resolutions??? I bet that the routine has somehow managed to hide them, simply tucked them under the piles of new bills that need paying or long shopping and “need to do” lists that seem to never end. Still, we hope that January was a good month and that you managed to do something that made you happy – maybe you’ve been very brave, even more creative or simply felt that life is precious?

Ahead of us lay 29 days of February – we’ll get an extra day this year! That’s extra 24 hours! So fuel up and get into gear. You could start by remembering those resolutions, rolling your sleeves up and… well, just do what needs to be done.

As you can see for our February desktop images we have chosen two very different photos. While the first one is screaming “it’s still winter”, the other one reminds us that spring is not that far away.

I’m sure that if you love cold weather you will download the minimalistic white forest, yet if you’re a keen gardener, who has already started growing seedlings on your windows, you will go with the African violets.

The days will get longer and you will want to spend more time outdoors, but if you get a minute or two please visit our current E-Exhibition. John Kay’s vibrant Watercolours might help you decide to hit the road as soon as it gets warmer – meanwhile visit Harwich, West Mersea, Colchester and other pretty places virtually. You can also meet the artist by reading the interview with John on our Blog. Oh, and on the 18th… well, you’ll be in for a treat! We’ll open an E-Exhibition of Tea Cosies knitted by Loani Prior (Australia). I’m sure you’ve never seen anything like that – trust me it will be a feast for the eyes and you’ll definitely want to own one like that yourself. All the ladies, get your knitting needles out and start planning your garden tea parties!

I didn’t actually make any New Year resolutions so I can’t be disappointed if I fail, but I would like to be more productive this year if I can. Lovely photographs especially the African violets.
