Our Annual Report
2012 has been our first full year devoted to blogging. It has gone by very quickly, yet it seems that we managed to achieve some “results”. As WordPress gives us an opportunity to look back and count our achievements, we decided to share some with you.
* What’s in common between Mt.Everest and Decor-Art Blog?
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012.
This blog got about 10,000 views in 2012.
If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 17 years to get that many views.
* The main question is – “how many…?”
In 2012, there were 132 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 173 posts.
There were 742 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 136 MB. That’s about 2 pictures per day.
The busiest day of the year was June 5th with 111 views.
* Where are our readers from?
We’ve been noticed by people from 97 different countries!
Most visitors came from The United States. The United Kingdom & Australia were not far behind.
Well, I guess 10 000 views is not too bad, but lets hope that we can at least double this in 2013. By the way, I didn’t start this Blog in order to compete, but seeing these numbers makes me eager to improve the quality of our, lets say, creative output. I don’t want to get stuck in one place, life’s about moving forward, right?
Anyway, the annual report is followed by the first few desktop images, which are a bit different THIS year (I’m sure it will take time to get used to the fact that it’s actually 2013 now…). The subject is going to stay the same – Nature, as I’m always glad to observe the changes that carry us from cold dark days to bright and warm summer, yet every month you will find not only a calendar, but also a short uplifting quote. I hope you will enjoy them!

P.S. We have a present for our Blog and Twitter friends – you could start your new year with a special Decor-Art calendar.
For a chance to win it, please leave a short message about this give-away on your blog (and let us know that you’ve done so) or retweet our message on Twitter. The winner will be announced on the 6th of January, when we celebrate the feast of Three Kings.
