Proper Summer?

June 30, 2014

We haven’t had a proper summer yet. By proper I mean that the sun would shine and we could actually feel it’s heat. Where is it?

It’s been only +15C lately, sometimes even less. We felt lucky when the wind dropped and we could leave our coats at home, of course still wrapping ourselves in warm jumpers. There must have been lots of cloudy days and lots of naive hopes that by the end of June it would get better. It didn’t…

On the threshold of July I’m sharing some images from the day when I could feel my summery mood rising –  I cut lots of lovely flowers in the garden, their pastel colours worked as a promised that we haven’t lost the entire season yet…

By the way, I do hope that we can still have 2 months of proper summer. Fingers crossed!

P.S. There’s always someone who decides that they’d love to be in my photos… This time it’s Solomon, the best cat ever!

Thank you for your lovely comment. I’m glad I won’t be the only one crossing my fingers and hoping for a better weather! K. P.S. The 1st day of July wasn’t too bad – the sun was shining brightly nearly all day. I hope it was nice at your end as well?

I love the summery blues – twice we have had to have the fan on as hubby wilts over 72!

I’m sure I will complain when (or actually IF) it gets too hot one day… Still it would be nice to be able to spend some time outdoors sipping cold lemonade, looking at clear blue sky through some fancy sun glasses. K.
