Spring Peony

March 13, 2015

This is one of the projects that was saved for later. It was stored on my to do list for about a month – I’m ashamed to admit it, but this is how long it took me to buy crepe paper and some thin wire…

I saw a little “scheme” how to make paper peonies on Pinterest. (By the way, what’s your relationship with this website? I know people who are addicted and I’ve heard of some who really dislike it – this has something to do with image copyright issues. I’d say I’m somewhere in between the two.) Peony is my favourite flower, but you can get them only in June, and the one on Pinterest was so beautiful, simply irresistible! Please click here if you’d like to see the tutorial.

There was no explanation, just a few photographs, so my crafting process was based on trial and error (I’m an expert now though, so if you need advice, just ask). I’m happy with the result, I think this isn’t too bad for a March peony, what do you think?

Before I forget, here are the correct answers to my very explosive garden quiz:

1. Rose bush;
2. Cherry tree;
3. Gooseberry bush;
4. Hydrangea;
5. Forsythia.

    Beautiful! Don’t feel bad about it taking a month. I’ve had projects that have taken 6 months to a year and I’ve purchased the supplies!

      I must admit I had projects like that too… It’s so nice to know I’m not the only one!

      Still… When you think about it, one month equals to thirty days – I bet some could build a house in thirty days! 🙂 K.
