MY 11 Things

August 26, 2015
I got an invitation to take part in 11 Things challenge nearly a month ago (blushing really badly now…), but my blogging habits have been very bad so far this summer… and I can only blame my constant wish to spend every possible minute outdoors. I also wanted to illustrate at least some of my 11 Things with some quirky drawings, but as you already know “creativity takes courage” and I didn’t feel that brave after all. Anyway, as I’m already typing this… I guess I’d better stop wasting even more time, apologise and get on with the answers!

I’m sorry, Lisa (n.b. this is the girl who invited me to take part, so please visit her lovely blog), that my “soon” has expanded and turned into everyone else’s standard month. Here are MY 11 Things:

   1. What’s your most unusual phobia?
Hmm… I have quite a few phobias, but I don’t think that they are that unusual. I’m scared of flying and I dislike doctors. I don’t like going near frogs or toads, snakes are even worse! Lets say that the most unusual one is my telephone phobia – I’m scared of talking to unknown people on the phone. By the way, I never answer if I see an unknown telephone number on the screen.
   2. Did you have a favourite subject at school?
I was good at languages, so I’ll say English, although I was also fond of biology and art.

   3. Who would be your dream dinner date?
I’m very shy in real life, so I’d choose one of my friends.
4. What was your first job?
Selling ice-cream when I was 13. I don’t remember earning much, I think I spent most of what I earned on… ice-cream.
5. Where’s your happy place?
This is an easy one – home.
6. What’s your favourite art form?
I love various art forms, life without art would be very boring, but if I have to choose only one, I’ll say – painting.
7. Who or what were you in a previous life?
Hmm… I must have been a woman (I can’t imagine being a man!). Maybe lady of the manor, bossing all of my servants around. One can always dream…

8. What’s your talent?
My talent and my vice is being not too bad at quite a few things, but not being able to concentrate on only one and getting even better at it. Complicated, I know, but I do feel that I am unable to decide what of my so called talents should be exercised the most.
9. What was the first album you bought?
Music album? Probably New Kids on the Block. Does anyone still remember these guys?
10. Which was the first social network you joined?
Something called Bebo. (Just had a look and it says “bebo is back”, this means that Facebook hasn’t closed it for good.)
11. If you were a superhero, what colour would your cape be?
At first I was going to say black, but that’s just boring. So I guess it would have to be orange and I’d have an artificial fox’s tail attached to it.

And now I am inviting to tell us all YOUR 11 Things: Laura from eljaygee, Eoin from Scéalta Ealaíne, Claire from Paint Drops and everyone else who wants to take part.

1. What is, in your opinion, the prettiest country you have ever been to?
2. What book would you recommend to read?
3. What is your favourite short joke?
4. What do you like doing on a rainy day?
5. Do you believe in ghosts?
6. How did you decide to start writing your blog? Do you remember your first post?
7. What is your favourite museum?
8. How do you usually start your Sunday mornings?
9. Is there a person in your life you are proud of?
10. If you had to draw yourself as a cartoon character, what would you draw?
11. What is your favourite non alcoholic drink?

Hope to see your answers soon.
